These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Stork Moving’s services and website. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Stork Moving offers local and regional moving services within Fort Myers and surrounding areas (Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties). Our services include packing, loading, transport, unloading, and unpacking, as agreed upon in your service contract.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

  • Quotes and Estimates: We provide quotes based on information provided. Final charges may vary based on actual move circumstances (e.g., additional services or unforeseen requirements).
  • Deposits and Payments: A deposit may be required to secure your booking, with full payment due upon completion of services.
  • Payment Methods: Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 48 hours before the scheduled move are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours may incur a fee.
  • Refunds: Refunds for canceled services will be issued according to the original payment method within 3 to 5 business days.

4. Liability and Limitations

  • Damage to Property: We take care to protect your belongings. In the event of damage caused by our negligence, we may repair or replace items at our discretion, up to a specified liability limit.
  • Insurance: Basic liability coverage is included. Additional insurance coverage can be arranged upon request.
  • Exclusions: Stork Moving is not liable for items packed by the customer or for damages resulting from pre-existing conditions, natural disasters, or unforeseeable circumstances.

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: The customer must provide accurate information regarding the move’s scope, item descriptions, and access details.
  • Ready Access: Ensure that all items are packed (unless packing service is included), and that movers have access to loading and unloading areas.
  • Restricted Items: Hazardous materials and certain valuables are not permitted in our moving vehicles. A list of restricted items will be provided.

6. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage customers to contact us directly for resolution. If unresolved, disputes may be addressed through mediation or binding arbitration under the laws of the State of Florida.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within Florida.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Stork Moving reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services signifies acceptance of any changes.
